Our hair removal laser emits a powerful beam of light that passes through the skin and targets many follicles at once, making the treatment quick and effective.
Some lasers are not as effective for patients with red, blonde, or gray hair, as there is not enough pigment to attract the heat of the laser. However, the Synchro REPLA:Y can treat a wider variety of hair types and skin tones. We also offer Meladine to assist treatment if necessary and provide waxing services for patients who are not good candidates for laser hair removal. The difference between Laser and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) for Laser Hair Removal
Understanding the difference between IPL and a true laser is important in achieving successful, long-term results. A true laser emits a single concentrated beam of light that is focused on one precise spot, penetrating to the root. IPL is not a laser. The device produces multiple wavelengths, and the light is not as focused, meaning penetration is more shallow. IPL is also not safe or effective on dark skin types. At Mill Creek Skin & Laser Center, we use only a true laser for hair removal.
